The symposium will gather Danish researchers in the fields of clinical and basic diabetes research, physical activity, obstetrics and pediatrics, information and communication technology (ICT) and social sciences and humanities (SSH), as well as public and private stakeholders to explore and discuss the state-of-the-art in promoting physical activity in GDM pregnancy and early motherhood. We expect that the symposium will lead to development of new collaborative national and international research initiatives on how to develop and test a scalable approach, which combines physical exercise events and ICT-interventions, to enhance the physical activity level in pregnant women with GDM, and to provide evidence for the effects of various types, doses and patterns of physical activity on mother and child.
We are proud to present the
symposium programme, and to welcome our international speakers, Professor Helen Murphy and Professor Mireille van Poppel. See the Danish Diabetes Academy's website for further information
