In partnership with DTU Skylab, CACHET organised the Open Innovation X (Oi-X) case competition with a focus on HEALTH. The students worked on cases from Novo Nordisk, Lundbeck and Tryg Insurance.
During the finals, the main prize (30.000 DKK) went to the 'Lundtech' group for a prototype to a high-tech patch that with built-in sensors can measure motion abnormalities in patients with Parkinson's disease. The solution won because Lundbeck, who had posed the challenge, were excited about the solution. It was simple, the students had thought all the way around the product, and the group distinguished themselves from the others because they had made a prototype that showed that it could be done.
